About the mushrooms…

Maitake mushroom

Traditionally used in Chinese herbalism for centuries, Maitake is considered to be an adaptogen, which means it may help the body to better manage its natural stress response on a day-to-day basis. It is a source of beta-glucans and polysaccharides.

Reishi mushroom

Another adaptogen, Reishi mushroom contains beta-glucans, which are known to support immune function. It has been traditionally used to support the body’s natural inflammatory response and healthy respiratory function.

Shiitake mushroom

Shiitake mushrooms have been used in Japan and South East Asia for over 1000 years. Shiitake is naturally rich in polysaccharides, including lentinan (a beta-glucan). They are one of the most cultivated varieties of mushroom and are a source of copper, selenium, and pantothenic acid.

Lion’s Mane mushroom

Lion’s Mane mushroom supports the immune system by encouraging the growth of beneficial gut bacteria. Buddhist monks were said to have used Lion’s Mane in tea to support brain power and focus during meditation.
